By using the word “health”, instead of “care”, we are focusing on the outcome of everything the participants in the healthcare ecosystem are doing. The desired outcome is for people to be as healthy and productive as they can possibly be – without unnecessary delays, waste, or inconvenience. By inserting the concept of speed to health, we are putting appropriate focus on how quickly and conveniently care can be delivered to get people healthy, happy and fully productive -- with minimum time away from work or activities that contribute to personal fulfillment.
WHAT ABOUT QUALITY AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE?
What about quality and customer experience? Quality is implied. Quality is essential to speed to health at the lowest possible cost. That’s why we inserted the word “possible”. If you are focused only on the lowest cost – by any means – quality might be sacrificed, and with it, speed to health. Optimal customer experience – for all constituents – is also essential to the delivery of speed to health, because it is the key to effective customer engagement.
